The Spirit Tour Bus
is hitting the road – visiting more than twenty major metropolises all across
America. We spoke to Michael Pewther, the Senior Director of Sales at Spirit, about
why Spirit’s taking to the highway in their big, yellow bus:
“The Spirit Tour is our way of engaging with existing Spirit
Airlines customers, and reaching out to those who haven’t flown with us before,”
he explained. “It’s our second annual promotional tour, kicking off in Dallas,
Texas – and we’ll be are visiting more than 20 cities all across to America on the course of it.”
“Our
aim is to let people know who we are, the ultra-low-cost carrier for the
Americas, and make them aware of a great offer we’ve got open.”
So if you see the Spirit Tour is rolling near you, what’s
the benefit of checking in with them?
“If you come and visit us, you’ll discover we’re distributing certificates that allow the recipient to
claim 20,000 Free Spirit frequent flyer miles,” Pewther explains. “That’s
enough to redeem a ticket for one person to fly round trip on Spirit Airlines plus
taxes and fees.”
“The rules are: each person over the age of 18 will receive
one certificate – but only as long as the limited supplies last. It’s first
come, first served and it’s strictly one per person.” It’s worth mentioning
that the certificates go quickly – so if you’re excited about scoring one, make
sure you get there early!
“If you get a certificate and follow the instructions, you’ll
have a great opportunity to experience the Spirit Airlines that our existing customers
have come to know and love.”
In addition to being a great tool to help raise people’s
awareness of Spirit Airlines, the Spirit Tour seems to be a lot of fun – with lots
of smiles and enthusiasm from those who attend. We asked Michael what his
favorite part about the tour was:
“I love hearing the stories of people who attended the event,
got a certificate and are now going to be able to visit a friend, or attend a
class reunion, or go on a much needed vacation.
It’s great knowing we played a part in make those journeys happen.”
