Some of London’s Best Terraced Restaurants and Bars

This blog post was updated on October 23, 2018.

There’s still a bit of summer left and when the weather’s nice, dining al fresco or having a drink in the great urban outdoors feels great and offers a delectable opportunity to people watch.

Here’s a list of some of London’s most stylish restaurants and bars with terraced and outside seating.

Floripa
91-93 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HZ
A vibrant haven and authentic Brazilian culture, Floripa is situated in super trendy Shoreditch.  The re-designed terrace offers a chic retreat in the surrounding urban sprawl. Open daily, it’s the ideal location for a mid-morning coffee from the Giddy Up Coffee team or post work cocktail.

Momo
23-25 Heddon Street, W1B 4BH
With its beautifully adorned outside terrace evoking the souks in North Africa, Momo is a welcoming oasis for Londoners and visitors alike. Serving afternoon teas with an original “Momo twist”, as well as a selection of Arabic and traditional French pastries with teas and cocktails, Momo is a great place to retreat from the urban grind without having to flee the city.

Sanderson
50 Berners Street, W1T 3NG

As in the Sanderon hotel’s popular Courtyard Garden, guests can now choose to sit in style at the front al fresco terrace for cocktails or the hotel’s “Mad Hatter’s” Afternoon Tea.

Pizza East Portobello
310 Portobello Road, W10 5TA
Having launched a brand new upstairs terrace this summer, Pizza East also offers pavement tables around the exterior, perfect for scoping Notting Hillbillies in their natural habitat. The new terrace can be hired out for group bookings or even a romantic dinner for two.

Dean Street Townhouse
71 Dean Street, W1D 3SE
Walk by this place on a sunny day or mild summer’s eve and you’ll realise the appeal. The outdoor sidewalk tables at the Dean Street Townhouse offer a front row view of prime time Soho. Warning: stopping here for a drink or nibbles may prove highly addictive.

Fornata
15 Kingly Street, W1B 5PS
Also, located in Soho near famed Carnaby Street, outdoor seating at this Italian restaurant is the perfect setting for that afterwork aperitivo.

Cassis
232-236 Brompton Road, W3 2BB
Cassis Bistro serves some the finest Provençal cuisine this side of the Channel. And with floor to ceiling glass doors opening out onto an elegant terrace, it’s a little slice of Provence in the heart of London’s fashionable South Kensington neighbourhood.
