Tropical Storm Don, currently spinning in the Gulf of Mexico 430 miles east of Brownsville, Texas, has altered the itinerary of several cruise ships in its path.
The Carnival Imagination and Carnival Elation ships were forced to change course from Cozumel, Mexico due to the storm’s disruption. Both ships are capable of carrying 2,500 passengers each.
Weather officials expect the storm to strengthen and make landfall slightly north of the US-Mexico border within the next 36 to 48 hours.
