Two Epic Food Events, Two Great Reasons to Head to Las Vegas in May

This May, two food and wine events are taking place which celebrate all the culinary scene in Vegas has to offer – the Las Vegas Epicurean Affair and Vegas Uncork’d
Vegas Uncork’d, taking place Thursday, May 10 through Sunday, May 13, is considered to be one of the hottest tickets in town for foodies. This year, to celebrate its sixth anniversary, resorts across the Strip are celebrating with special one-of-a-kind events complete with celebrity chefs, master sommeliers, visionary mixologists and more.
Spread across Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and Mandalay Bay, there are more than 20 events spread across the four days. The first night of the event alone includes five Masters Series Dinners. Guests can also enjoy such events as a paella lunch with Jose Andres at The Cosmopolitan; a mix-off at Bellagio; a celebrity chef poker tournament at The Cosmopolitan; the infamous Garden of the Gods Grand Tasting at Caesars Palace; a surfside clambake at Mandalay Bay; and even Steak and Eggs with Charlie Palmer at Mandalay Bay.
The Epicurean Affair, sponsored by the Nevada Restaurant Association and held at The Palazzo Las Vegas, is designed to introduce the public to the gourmet offerings which have made the city an international dining hot spot.
Held on Thursday, May 24, guests will be able to sample food and cocktails from some of the town’s best restaurants. The backdrop for the affair? The Palazzo Pool.

And if you miss these events, don't worry. It seems as if there is always something going on in the dining scene in town. Restaurant Week, a popular event where restaurants create special menus and then donate money to Three Square, a nonprofit in Vegas dedicated to fighting hunger, recently upped its event to twice a year. Then, over at Bellagio, there is its popular Epicurean Epicenter Series, a year-long event celebrating the property’s packed roster of superior dining options.
For those in town a little early, like April 27, be sure to check out the series event, Colgin Cellars with Chef Julian Serrano. This experience combines his acclaimed food with hand-crafted wines from Colgin Cellars.

Las Vegas is known for its immense dining scene. The town is packed with award-winning restaurants, celebrity chefs and some of the most up-scale, opulent outlets in the world. With so much phenomenal food going around, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with the selections!

Don't panic – just don't try to bite off more than you can chew!
