4 of Summer’s Bests in Paris
As one of the foodie capitols of the world, Paris is often considered the leader when it comes to trends in cuisine.  So what’s on the menu for this summer?

Best Ice Cream
With over 250 years of confectionary wisdom, À la Mère de Famille sets the bar when it comes to all things sweet, especially ice cream.  There are plenty of traditional scoops to choose from but the modern twists on classic favorites draws a crowd. Try the ‘Exquimaux’, a frozen ice cream pop coated in chocolate, caramelized almonds, biscuits or crushed hazelnuts, and rochers glacés, decadent chocolate logs filled with peach, caramel or chocolate marshmallow flavored ice cream.

Best Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant
Whoever said Paris doesn’t cater to vegetarian and vegan diets was lying!  There are plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans.  One restaurant in particular, Grand Appétit, is known as the pioneer of vegetarian dining in Paris.  This summer’s line up of fresh and local dishes offers conscious eaters vegetarian and vegan options for a good price.

Best Street Food
Paris offers a diverse fleet of food trucks for hungry people on the go.  With nicer weather and plenty of summer fun, eating from a food truck is a quick and simple meal.  Word on the street is that if you’re looking for an American-style burger, then hunt down Le Camion qui fume.  Not only is it the first burger truck to hit the streets of Paris, it is often referred to as the best.  Using top quality meat, freshly baked bread and real cheddar this truck has people lining up!

Its frequent haunts are place de la Madeleine, Porte Maillot, the Canal St-Martin, MK2 Bibliothèque and in front of the Musée d’Orsay, but you can confirm its whereabouts on Twitter and Facebook.

Best Brunch
From noon to 3pm, head down to rue de la Folie Méricourt and check out L’Echappée.  It’s a bit of a splurge, €25 per person for a buffet of your choice, but brunch in Paris is a meal that deserves a touch of luxury.  L’Echappée operates primarily as a spa, but regulars know that on weekends in the bright upstairs, a variety of breakfast and brunch classics is being served with a French twist.
