The Washington National Cathedral is set to re-open on November 12, according to officials in Washington D.C.
The major tourist attraction has been closed to the public since August when a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the nation’s capital.
The rare quake caused major damage at the church, causing three of its spires to crash to the ground. Over the past few weeks, construction crews have been working to stabilize the remaining spires, though it will take years to fully restore the damage.
The cathedral is currently attempting to raise at least $25 million to cover its construction and operating costs through 2012.
