Seattle is a major seaport city on the West Coast of the United States. The
seat of King County, it doubles up as the largest city in the state of
Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Seattle sits
nicely on an isthmus between Puget Sound and Lake Washington and lies about
100 miles away from the Canada-United States border. The city enjoys a
scenic backdrop of a river, some rolling hills and a few evergreen forests.
Seattle is home to two the market leaders called Microsoft and Amazon. Its
skyline is dominated by a 56-year-old Space Needle, a 605 feet high
observation tower made exclusively for the 1962 World’s Fair.
