Palacio de las Garzas (Spanish for the Herons' Palace)
The Palacio de las Garzas or the Herons' Palace is the governmental office
and residence of the President of Panama in Panama City. This grand
palatial building has served as the residence of the the Spanish governor
during the Colonial Period and then as a royal winery, as a warehouse, and
National Bank's headquarters ever since its founding. It is named thus for
the freely roaming heron birds here that were introduced to the city by a
former president Belisario Porras in 1922 AD.
Ancon Hill
Ancon Hill is a steep 654-foot-high hill near Panama City. An obvious
choice for all adventure sports enthusiasts, it features various natural
opportunities for sightseeing, jogging and hiking. If for nothing else, you
can simply climb to its apex and be enthralled with 360-degree views of the
