Brevig Mission is an American city in Nome Census Area, Alaska. It was formerly known as Teller Mission and was renamed in 1903 after Reverend TL Brevig, Teller's first postmaster who was appointed here in April 1900. This city is also known as Sitaisaq or Sinauraq in Inupiaq language. It is located at 65°20?3?N 166°29?35?W and is spread across an area of 2.6 square miles, out of which 2.6 square miles is land and a negligible amount of it is water.
