Volcanoes National Park is in the Virunga Mountains surrounded by lush
forests. Virunga Mountain acts as a border of the Democratic Republic of
Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda. Tourists come on a tour here to meet the
mountain families or see the mountain gorillas.
Gisenyi
Gisenyi is a town located on the north shore of Lake Kivu. Several beach
resorts are located on the lake’s sandy waterfront. Tourists can enjoy
kayaking in the clear waters of the lake. From the town, the lakeside Congo
Nile Trail traverses through hilly terrain, waterfalls, tea and coffee
plantations, and passing villages.

Weather-wise, the best times to take Rwanda flights is from June to mid-September and then from December to February. These are the dry seasons when the weather is pleasant and apt for sightseeing. June to mid-September is the peak tourism season in the country. It is advisable to book tickets in advance to get cheap flights to Rwanda as airfares tend to rise during peak season.
