Pueblo is a city and the county seat of Pueblo County in the US state of
Colorado. The city is located at the confluence of Fountain Creek and
Arkansas River, about 180 kilometers south of Denver. Pueblo is often
referred to as the "Steel City" as it is one of the largest steel-producing
cities in the United States. Pueblo is majorly popular for its outdoor
recreation, arts and culture, and a low cost of living. Pueblo organizes
the Colorado State Fair, Colorado's largest single event held annually in

Buell Children's Museum
Buell Children's Museum offers hands-on exhibits focusing on science,
technology, and arts. The museum is a part of the Sangre de Cristo Arts
& Conference Centre which opened in 1972. There are five galleries in

the winner of the Award of Excellence in Arts & Humanities by the El
Pomar Foundation.
El Pueblo History Museum
A local history museum in Pueblo, El Pueblo History Museum puts forward the
history of the city. The site at which the museum is located is home to an
1840s-style adobe trading post and an archaeological excavation site of the
original trading post, listed on the US National Register of Historic
Places.
