Moline is the largest city in Rock Island County in Illinois and one of the Quad Cities in the United States. Once a significant industrial city in the region, it has now evolved into an extensive civic and recreation hotspot. The city is centered on its renovated downtown area called Moline Centre. It is a recreation centre bubbling with a pulsating nightlife, several dining, nightlife hotspots, and entertainment venues. Next attraction here is Park Hill. It has a picture perfect view of the Mississippi River and is home to one of the Moline's oldest neighborhoods that date back to 1900s.
Downtown / Moline Centre
Moline's downtown or the Moline Centre is where the introduction of the past glory days of the city start with. More than 50 years ago, this part of the city was the epicenter of retail business and is now home to the iconic wireless Center, a 12000-seats strong multi-purpose arena where thousands of visitors flock to watch shows, concerts, and sporting events besides dining and doing business.
Park Hill
Park Hill offers a stunning view of the Mississippi River and is home to one of the Moline’s oldest neighborhoods. These neighborhoods were built by a famous businessman, John Deere for his workers nearly a hundred years back. Close to it is situated the Riverside Park that has several baseball fields, a pond, and a pool with water slides and fountains (called the Riverside Aquatic Center).
The Rock Island Arsenal Museum
Established a hundred years ago in 1905, the Rock Island Arsenal Museum is the second-oldest US Army Museum in the US and is home to the second-largest collection of small arms weapons in the US Army. It also has a Union Army prison camp and an extensive display of the regional history regarding the American Civil War.
