Lancaster is separated from the Los Angeles Basin by the San Gabriel Mountains to the south. The city also has Tahachapi Mountains to the north. Lancaster Musical Road
Lancaster is home to the Musical Road. It is one of the very few musical roads in the world and special grooves etched into the pavement allow every vehicle to hum along to the tune.
Aerospace Walk of Honor
Aerospace Walk of Honor was established in recognition to EdwardsAir Force Base test pilots. These monuments are located along Lancaster's Blvd. Visitors can walk along the boulevard and spot one or more of these tributes. The site distinguishes 100 brave test pilots.
Blackbird Airpark
Blackbird Airpark is an annex of the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards Air Force Base. The museum boasts the display of world's only Lockheed SR-71A along with its predecessor A-12. Blackbird Airpark is also home to the once ultra-secret D-21 drone and the only remaining U-2 "D" model in the world.
