Rock of Gibraltar
A monolithic limestone promontory, the Rock of Gibraltar offers engrossing
vistas. This rock is the Crown property of United Kingdom. The upper area
of the rock is sheeted by a nature reserve that features approximately 300
Barbary macaques. The natural beauty and wildlife found on the rock act as
a magnet for tourists all-round the year. This rock was one of the Pillars
of Hercules.
St. Michael's Cave
Attracting swarms of tourists every year, St. Michael's Cave is a natural
attraction for the tourists who want to explore something new. Among over
150 caves found inside the Rock of Gibraltar, this cave is ranked as the
most frequented one. St. Michael’s Cave was created by rainwater slowly
seeping through the limestone rock.
Gibraltar Botanic Gardens
Offering beautiful vistas, Gibraltar Botanic Gardens is spread over
approximately 6 hectares of area. The plants found in this botanical garden
are a blend of indigenous species. Gibraltar Botanic Gardens is an
excellent place to visit for a nature lover or someone studying botany. The
Rock Hotel is located near the park.
