Eastsound is an unincorporated community on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, US. It is the largest population center on Orcas Island, the second-most populated and physically largest of the San Juan Islands. It is best known for its tri-pronged offerings consisting of scenic locations, community events and adventure sports like hiking and mountain trekking. You would find this village an endearing sum of 19th century houses, galleries, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and a history museum. Outdoor enthusiasts would enjoy whale watching and hiking up the nearby Mt. Constitution or Turtleback Mountain. Other notable attractions here include the Orcas Island Historical Museum, Sucia Island Marine State Park and Orcas Island.
Eastsound is connected to other cities and hotspots like Seattle, Bellingham, Anacortes and Friday Harbor through the Orcas Island Airport that is located half a mile north of the city.
