Douglas is a city in the Cochise County in the US state of Arizona. It has a border crossing with Mexico at Agua Prieta. It is a small town with more than 100 years of prosperous mining industry. Douglas continues to play an important role as a gateway to Mexico and the Rio Sonora region and boasts an affluent, cultural and economic history with its Mexican sister city, Agua Prieta. Douglas is home to an indoor aquatic centre, seven parks, art gallery, a scenic 18-hole golf course, tennis and racquetball courts, public library, and a recreation centre.
