A city in and the county seat of Park County in the US state of Wyoming, Cody is named after William Frederick Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill, for his role in the creation of this city. Having its east center at a distance of around 50 miles from Cody, Yellowstone National Park is a national park located primarily in the US state of Wyoming. This national park also extends into Idaho and Montana. The park is famous for its wildlife and its numerous geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser. Yellowstone National Park boasts several types of ecosystems, most abundant of which is the subalpine forest. The park is home to more than 1700 species of trees and other vascular plants and almost 60 species of mammal.
