National Museum of Pakistan
Established in 1950, National Museum of Pakistan has a fundamental objective to collect, preserve, study, and put on show the records of the cultural history of the country. The museum features a collection of about 58,000 old coins and a number of well-preserved sculptures. There are about 70,000 books, publications, and other reading material of the Archeology and Museums Department. Each year, National Museum of Pakistan organizes around a dozen of exhibitions on National Days and other occasions.
Mohatta Palace
Characterized by Indo-Saracenic architecture, Mohatta Palace was constructed by Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta, who was a Hindu Marwari businessman from modern-day Rajasthan in India. This palace was built in 1927 as his summer home in an area of around 1,720 square meters and its facade is trimmed with domes, stone brackets, windows, spandrels, beautiful railings, and balustrades with floral motifs. This palace remains closed on Mondays.
PAF Museum
Established in 1990, PAF Museum is an Air Force museum and park near Karsaz Flyover on Shahra-e-Faisal in Karachi. A majority of radar, weapons, and aircraft are put on show outside in the park and the main museum features all major fighter aircraft that have been used by the Pakistan Air Force. Some of the chief aircraft preserved in the museum are Martin B-57 Canberra, De Haviland Tiger Moth, North American Harvard, Shenyang F-6, and more.
Masjid-e-Tooba
Masjid-e-Tooba is one of the largest single dome mosques in the world. This mosque is locally known as the Gol Masjid. Masjid-e-Tooba is situated in the Defense Housing Society near main Korangi Road. The dome of this spectacular mosque has diameter about 236 feet balanced on a low surrounding wall without central pillars with minarets around 70 meters in height.
