Katherine Landing

Located less than 10 miles north of Bullhead City near Lake Mohave, Katherine's Landing is one of the best weekend destinations in Arizona. It features an enticing bundle of RV facilities, boat rentals; boat slips, launch ramp, picnic area, campgrounds and a marina besides some standard resort amenities that could make your weekend fun-filled. The place was named after a gold mine that used to operate and flourish in the area during the dusk of 19th century.

The Colorado River

The Colorado River is more than half the fun in the city. Over its course of several hundred miles, it passes through Bullhead City while endowing it with a truckload of recreational activities. Visitors here can enjoy boating, water and jet skiing, and fishing. One can also take a stroll on its shores to spend some quality time admiring the waterfowls here.

Hardyville Cemetery

The current site of Bullhead City was the location of a settlement called Hardyville during 1870s. The Hardyville Cemetery is a cruel reminder of how a fickle change in fortunes can turn a once-booming place into a ghost town and a cemetery. About 100 years ago, Bullhead City was an epicenter of mining boom and activities alike that had made the people here insanely rich. However, in due course, railroad was introduced and this brought an abrupt end to the prosperity of the town. What remains today of that glory is but a cemetery called the Hardyville Cemetery.
