It contains the graves of some of the most notable Argentinean citizens like former presidents, Nobel Prize winners, the founder of Argentine Navy and a granddaughter of Napoleon Bonaparte. Cementerio de la Recoleta’s consists of 4691 vaults and several elaborately carved marble mausoleums made in Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Baroque, and Neo-Gothic architectural styles. The construction materials required for the tombs were imported from Paris and Milan between 1880 and 1930.

Teatro Colon (or Columbus Theatre in English)

The Teatro Colon (Columbus Theatre in English) is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was ranked as the third best opera house in the world by National Geographic few years ago. Its construction started in 1889 and was completed in 1908. Teatro Colon’s auditorium accommodates 2487 seats arranged in horseshoe manner. Also of note here is a grand chandelier that illuminates the auditorium with its 700 light bulbs.
