Batumi Botanical Garden

The Batumi Botanical Garden is one of the largest botanical gardens in the former Soviet Union. It is spread across a 108 hectare area of protected land located 5.5 miles away from the city of Batumi in Georgia. This garden was expanded into a principal institution for the study of Caucasian maritime subtropical cultures under the Soviet Union in 1925. The Batumi Botanical Garden is currently home to 9 floristic sectors consisting of 2037 taxonomic units of woody plants including those of Caucasian humid subtropics, East Asia, New Zealand, South America, the Himalayas, Mexico, Australia and the Mediterranean.

Gonio-Apsarosi Fortress or Gonio Fortress

Gonio-Apsarosi Fortress is a riverside Roman fortification and a museum-reserve located about 9.3 miles away from Batumi in Georgia. The fortress derives its first mention by the noted Roman philosopher, Pliny the Elder in 1st century AD. Recent archaeological excavations in and near this fortress have led to the discovery of several artifacts like pottery, gold and silver jewelry and some 1500-year old coins.

Batumi Boulevard

Batumi Boulevard is a famous 4.3 mile long beachside park strip in Batumi. This iconic park is best known for its colored Dancing Fountains that were put here in 1977. Batumi Boulevard is also studded with bungalows, cafes, lounges, restaurants, children’s attractions, modern-design benches and some classic sculptures. Visitors can also visit Georgia's tallest building, the 656-feet high Batumi Tower near Batumi Boulevard.

6 May Park

The 6 May Park on Georgia’s Black Sea coast is one of the oldest public parks in Georgia. It is located in Batumi and offers a beautiful lake (called Nurigeli), train rides for children, a dolphinarium, an aquarium, a zoo and several coniferous and decorative trees. Visitors can also swim with dolphins by wearing special gears and paying a little extra. Some other attractions here include a sun clock and a Stone Fountain.
