Serving Rotorua and inland Bay of Plenty, Rotorua Regional Airport is an airport operated by Rotorua Regional Airport Limited. Presently, the airport is served by Air New Zealand's regional subsidiaries with flights to Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Queenstown and commuter airline Sunair with flights to Gisborne and the North Shore. The airport operates daily direct Air New Zealand services between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown (via Christchurch).

- First aid facilities. If there is requirement of medical assistance, one has to make the airport staff aware. The Airport Operations staff is provided first response first aid training and is able to assist in case of a medical emergency.
ParkingThe secure outdoor car park of the airport operates everyday of the year. The parking area is well-lit at night and boasts perimeter fences. There is round the clock security patrols and CCTV monitoring of the area. The area has a capacity of accommodating more than 400 cars in either Short Term or Long term car parks, with no need to pre-book parking spaces. The parking is free for first hour. In addition, there is disabled car parking available in either Short term or Long term parking areas. These areas are rime, well signposted and in easy to access locations. In total, there are seven disabled car park available at the airport. The drop off zones located outside the terminal are limited to dropping off and limited to 10 minute parking only. Any infringements are subject to fine and the vehicles, at the discretion of airport, could be removed. As an alternate, visitors dropping off or picking up a traveler and wanting to stay longer can visit park in the Short Term car park area for up to one hour for free.
Means of transportationRotorua Airport is located at a distance of just eight kilometers south of the Rotorua CBD. One can reach the airport through one hour driving time from Tauranga, Taupo, and Whakatane and merely two hours drive to Hamilton. All major rental car agencies have service desks located at the airport and the airport is serviced by shuttles, bus service, taxis. The shuttle service is operated by ‘supershuttle’. The major car rental agencies having service desk in the airport are AVIS, Thrifty, and Europcar.
