Unaccompanied Minor ServiceSpirit provides young flyers a comfortable and safe journey with its unaccompanied minor (UNMR) service. The airline permits children between the ages of 5 and 14 years to fly all by themselves on domestic direct flights. These unaccompanied minors are not allowed on international flights, connecting flights, or domestic flights that include a scheduled change of aircraft. Guardians are advised to ensure the children check in the gate at least 60 minutes before departure. The person dropping off the child must remain at the airport for 15 minutes after the flight takes off. Spirit charges an Unaccompanied Minor service fee for the service.
