Air Madagascar Flights!
Established in 1962, Air Madagascar is the national airline of Madagascar and is based in Antananarivo. It is an umbrella name for Societe Nationale Malgache de Transports Aeriens, Societe Anonyme. It has a fleet of 8 aircraft which offers flight to 17 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, Indian Ocean island destinations and several domestic destinations. The airline’s primary hub is Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo. Air Madagascar’s frequent flyer program is called Namako.
Classes of ServiceAir Madagascar offers a three-class configuration- Economy, Premium Economy and Business.
Economy (also called Ylang)
- All seats in Economy Class come fitted with an individual 10.44 inch screen offering travelers a wide range of movies, music and games during the flight.
- Travelers are offered the latest issue of airline’s in-flight publication called the Air Madagascar Magazine. It covers several topics related to travel, sightseeing etc. Some of the items depicted in the magazine are up for sale on flight as souvenirs.
- Passengers get baggage allowance of 2 pieces of luggage for a maximum of 23 kg each in the hold and one piece of 12 kg in the cabin.
Business ClassAir Madagascar’s Business Class comes with a wide range of premium features including 180° reclining seat-cum-bed, premium lounge access that has a bar and Wi-Fi access, facility to place calls during flight and priority baggage handling.
- Travelers are given an access to lounge, which features a bar, wireless internet and international television channels.
- Business Class seats are in the front part of the plane and are decorated elegantly.
- Business class follows industry-standard of 2 meter flat seat-beds that are 1.5 meter apart from each other.
- The cabin has a 15 inch wide screen TV to watch movies and TV shows during flight.
- The travelers can make calls even during the flight.
- On all long-haul flights, Business Class passengers are offered maximum baggage allowance of 2 items of 32 kg each (in hold) and 2 items of 18 kg (in cabin), besides some storage space under the seats.
- Business Class entitles its travelers priority baggage handling, checking-in at a special counter (the Business counter) and faster tracking of baggage.
Premium Economy- The seats in the Premium Economy recline more and are more spacious than those in the Economy Class.
- Premium Economy passengers can check-in at a dedicated Business Class counter and enjoy priority baggage handling. Once inside the aircraft, they get international newspapers, a bottle of water and a travel kit containing toiletries.
- Each seat has power sockets for charging smartphones, tablet, and laptop, and an individual reading lamp.
- Each seat also has an individual noise reducing audio headset for watching films shown on board.
- On all the long-haul night flights, travelers are served 2 meals - dinner and breakfast.
- Premium Economy passengers can make telephone calls during flight.
- On long-haul flights, maximum baggage allowances is 2 items of 32 kg each (in hold) and 2 items for a maximum size of 18 kg (in cabin).
Web Check-in- For long haul flights, passengers can check-in between 3 hours and 1 hour before scheduled take-off of their flight.
- For regional flights, passengers can check-in between 2 hours 30 minutes and 1 hour before scheduled take-off of their flight.
- For domestic flights, travelers can check-in between 2 hours and 30 minutes before scheduled take-off of their flight.
